Q: What is the quality of your products?

What makes us different Everything is fresh unless stated otherwise in the product header and description. Our products come from freshly imported goods that were over supplied. We also have blemished products that we rescue which will be clearly labelled on the store. Foods are generally classified according to class 1 (those that shine and are perfect in appearance), 2(those with slight defects of colour and shape) and 3(those with low shelf life). Depending on the items in stock, you will receive mainly class 1 unless you indicate that you are okay with the other classes.

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

What makes us different It’s best consumed within a week, and can be stored for up to two weeks in proper conditions. You should not be receiving moldy or rotten produce.

How to shop in our store Step 1: From our website, select the drop down and then select “SHOP” Step 2: Choose your desired product from our list of products and ADD TO CART Step 3: Select delivery or pick up and proceed to make payment. You can add items to your order before it is delivered to you by simply making a new order and attaching a note linking it to your first order. (e.g deliver with order no. 3125)

Q: How much is shipping?

Shipping and delivery - Orders $45 & below: $3 delivery fee. - Orders above $45: Free Delivery.

Q: When can I get my order delivered?

Shipping and delivery Orders made by 11:59PM will be delivered by the next working day. There are 12 day time delivery slots and 12 night delivery slots. A single time slot is allocated for each delivery. Items delivered can be left at the door.

Q: If I am not happy with the product, how do I get a refund?

Refunds If you encounter any moldy/rotten products or are unsatisfied with the condition, please send us an email with photos at hello@uglyfoodco.com by the next day, and we’ll look into it immediately.

Eco friendly packaging Our packaging is donated to us. We strive to reduce the use of resources and the single use of plastics. We’re testing out a few types of packaging that keeps your grocery fresh and safe in transit. Please note, the specific types of packaging can change due to the different donations, but we opt for eco-friendly packaging whenever it’s available. You may choose to also donate your recyclable items with us. Please drop us a message on Instagram.

Excellent Service and Admirable Venture

The people at Ugly Food are very prompt with responses and extremely helpful with queries. Updates are also on time and refunds are processed quickly. Delivery service is also hassle free and I like the fact you can return the large bag. More importantly, I admire what they do and their attempt to help reduce waste. Many of the foods are still edible even though they don't look good.

I personally ordered from Ugly Food before and thus I have no second thoughts in placing an order with them for the company.

The box of 40 mandarin oranges (every single one) was in good condition. The Chinese lettuce are so much fresher as compared to those from supermarkets.

And best of all, the delivery fee is only $3 to CBD area!

It saves me the hassle of carrying everything back from the supermarket as we need them for lion dance next week.

My colleagues are impressed with the quality and one could tell that the oranges went thorough checking before they were packed and delivered!

Love how the packaging comes with less plastic than if bought at a regular grocery store. Able to get good deals for not bad quality at all and in turn no food wastage🥳. The service is quite easy to use as well. It would be even great if the packaging came with a more earth-friendly material but otherwise, the team is doing a pretty good job!
